We are close to town, harbors, rainforests, icebergs, muskegs, salmon and the tide pools of Petersburg, Mitkof Island and the Tongass National Forest.

Directions: Alaska Island Hostel is in the center of southeast Alaska. You can get here by either ferry (www.alaskaferry.com) or plane (www.alaskaairlines.com). We are 17 hours north of Prince Rupert, Canada on the Alaska Marine Highway. Our hostel is one block north of 8th Street and Haugen Drive. Go north on 8th to Gjoa, then turn right. We are the last/second house on the left. The hostel is 1.5 km from airport and 2.5 km from the ferry. Taxis are about $5/person.
